Most "AI video editors" are a chat box bolted onto a black box render. You type a request, you get a clip back, and you have no idea what actually happened on a timeline — because there is no timeline. Arsaze starts from the opposite assumption: the timeline is the product.
Arsaze gives you a real multi-track editor — clips, tracks, transitions, captions — that both you and an AI agent can manipulate directly. Talk to the agent and watch it move clips, trim, add b-roll, and generate captions on the actual timeline in front of you, or take the mouse yourself and keep going. Nothing is hidden behind a prompt; every AI action is a visible edit you can undo, inspect, or take over.
Under the hood, Arsaze exposes the timeline over MCP, so external agents and tools can drive edits programmatically — think Cursor, but for video. That's deliberate: video editing is becoming an agentic workflow, and we wanted the timeline itself, not just a chat wrapper, to be what agents operate on.
