An AI video editor with a real timeline

Arsaze is an AI video editor built around a real multi-track timeline. You describe the edit in plain language, such as cutting silences, adding captions or b-roll, or grading a shot, and an AI assistant makes those edits on the timeline, where you can see, change or undo every one of them.

What "AI video editor" means

The term covers three different kinds of tool. Video generators produce a clip from a text prompt. Automation tools do one job, such as captions or cutting a long video into shorts. AI timeline editors are full editors in which an AI can operate the timeline itself.

Arsaze is the third kind, and it includes the first two: generation and automated edits both land on the same timeline as ordinary clips you can keep editing.

What the AI can do in Arsaze

  • Cut silences, pauses and filler words from a recording.
  • Find retakes and edit by transcript, so deleting words cuts the video.
  • Add word-timed captions in a reusable style.
  • Generate b-roll, video, images, voiceover, music and sound effects, and place them on the timeline.
  • Grade color with wheels, curves, HSL secondaries and LUTs, and match shots to each other.
  • Clean up audio: voice isolation, noise reduction, loudness normalization and ducking under speech.
  • Read client review comments and make the requested fixes.
  • Export the finished video.

How it works

Connect an assistant: add Arsaze as a custom connector in Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, or use the built-in assistant on a paid plan.

Say what you want, for example "cut the silences, add b-roll where I mention the car, and grade it teal and orange". The assistant edits the real timeline, and each edit plays back live in the editor.

Review and export: step in by hand at any point, share a review link, then export an MP4 or an FCPXML project for DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro.

You stay in control

Every edit is versioned automatically as it happens, so you can go back to any earlier state of the project. Arsaze is also a complete manual editor, so anything the assistant does you can adjust yourself with ordinary editing tools.

Questions and answers

What is the difference between an AI video editor and an AI video generator?

A generator produces a new clip from a prompt. An editor works on footage and assembles a finished video: cutting, arranging, captioning, grading and mixing. Arsaze is an editor that also includes generation, so generated clips land on the same timeline as your own footage.

Can AI edit my existing footage in Arsaze?

Yes. Upload your footage and ask an assistant to edit it. It can cut silences and filler words, add captions and b-roll, grade color and clean up audio, all on a timeline you can keep editing by hand.

Is there a free AI video editor plan?

Arsaze has a free plan with the full editor and 50 one-time welcome AI credits for audio analysis (transcripts, captions and silence detection). AI generation and the built-in AI assistant need a paid plan.

Does Arsaze add a watermark?

Exports rendered on your own PC with the Windows app are free and have no watermark.

Can I use Arsaze with Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Add Arsaze's MCP server (https://api.arsaze.com/mcp) as a custom connector in Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, sign in, and the assistant can edit your projects.

Can I move my edit to Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve?

Yes. Arsaze exports the edit as an FCPXML project that opens in DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro with your cuts, transitions and captions intact.
