Arsaze vs HyperFrames Studio

HyperFrames Studio is HeyGen's editor for HyperFrames, its open-source framework for videos written as HTML: you describe a video, an AI agent builds it as code, and you both work on the same timeline. Arsaze is a multi-track video editor for footage you shot or generated: AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Grok cut it, caption it, grade it and mix it over MCP, and motion graphics written as HTML sit on the same timeline as one layer of the edit. Choose HyperFrames Studio for a video that is designed from scratch as code; choose Arsaze when the video starts from footage and needs editing.

What Arsaze does differently

Arsaze is built so that an AI assistant is a first-class operator of the timeline, not a feature inside it. You connect Claude, ChatGPT or Grok to Arsaze over MCP (Model Context Protocol), and the assistant edits the same multi-track timeline you do: it adds, trims and splits clips, cuts silences, adds captions, grades color, mixes audio, generates media and starts exports.

Every edit the assistant makes plays back live in the editor, every edit is versioned as it happens, and you can take over by hand at any point. Arsaze is also a complete manual editor, so using an assistant is optional.

In the Windows app, transcription and video background removal run on your own PC and are free on every plan, forever. Local projects keep your footage on your computer with no AI and no server analysis, and an After Effects panel lets your AI build motion inside your open project.

Two different starting points

HyperFrames starts from a blank page: the video is an HTML composition, and the agent writes it. That suits launch videos, explainers and other pieces that are designed, not shot.

Arsaze starts from footage. You bring recordings, or generate video, images, voice and music, and the edit happens on a multi-track timeline: cuts, transcript edits, captions, color, audio and export.

HTML motion graphics in Arsaze

Arsaze has its own HTML engine. Build motion graphics in Animate Studio with keyframes, a 3D camera and camera solve, and graphics that follow something tracked in your footage. You or your AI write the scene, and either can edit it after.

When HyperFrames Studio is the better choice

  • The whole video is designed as code, with no footage to edit.
  • You want an open-source framework you can run and extend yourself.
  • Your team already works with HeyGen.

When Arsaze is the better choice

  • The video starts from real footage: interviews, talking heads, screen recordings, b-roll.
  • You want an AI assistant to cut silences, find retakes, add captions and b-roll on a real timeline.
  • You want color grading, an audio mixer, motion tracking, version history and client review links in the same editor.
  • You want to work in a browser, or in the Windows app with free on-device transcription and background removal.
