Arsaze
MCP video editor

A video editor AI agents can operate

Arsaze is a video editor that AI agents can operate. It runs a remote MCP server at https://api.arsaze.com/mcp; connect Claude, ChatGPT or Grok to it and the agent edits a real multi-track timeline, with every edit playing back live in the editor and saved to version history.

Why agents need a real editor

An AI agent can write an ffmpeg command, but a finished video is hundreds of small decisions that need to be seen, reviewed and changed. Arsaze gives the agent the same thing a human editor uses: a timeline of tracks and clips that it can read, edit step by step and hand back to a person at any point.

Connection details

Server URLhttps://api.arsaze.com/mcp
TransportStreamable HTTP (remote MCP)
Sign-inOAuth 2.1 with PKCE; no API keys

How to connect

  • Claude: Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste the server URL.
  • ChatGPT: add a custom MCP connector and paste the server URL.
  • Grok: grok.com/connectors, then New Connector, then Custom, and paste the server URL.

The first time the client connects, you sign in to your Arsaze account and approve it. Then open a project and ask the agent to edit it.

What an agent can do

  • Projects and assets: list and create projects, search the asset library, upload media.
  • Timeline editing: add, trim, split and ripple-delete clips, add transitions, and render.
  • Color and effects: LUTs, color wheels, RGB curves, HSL secondaries and cinematic looks.
  • Audio: voiceover generation, automatic ducking, loudness normalization and sound effects.
  • Generation: video, avatar video, voice, thumbnails, images, music and sound effects.
  • Captions and review: automatic captions, shareable review links and comment threads.

How a person stays in the loop

Open the project in Arsaze and each tool call the agent makes plays back live on the timeline. Every edit is versioned as it happens, so any change can be undone, and you can take over and edit by hand whenever you want. Clients can leave frame-accurate comments on a review link, and the agent can read those notes and make the fixes.

Questions and answers

Is there an MCP server for video editing?

Yes. Arsaze runs a remote MCP server at https://api.arsaze.com/mcp that lets an AI assistant edit a real multi-track video timeline: cuts, captions, color, audio, generation and exports.

Can Claude edit videos?

Yes, when connected to a video editor. Add Arsaze as a custom connector in Claude and it can edit your Arsaze projects: cutting silences, adding captions and b-roll, grading color and exporting the result.

Can ChatGPT edit videos?

Yes, through a connector. Add Arsaze's MCP server to ChatGPT as a custom connector and it can edit a real timeline in your Arsaze account.

Do I need an API key?

No. The connector uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. The first time your AI client connects, you sign in to your Arsaze account and approve it.

Can I see what the agent is doing?

Yes. Open the project in Arsaze and every tool call the agent makes plays back live on the timeline as it happens. You can take over and edit by hand at any point.

What happens if the agent makes a bad edit?

Every edit is versioned automatically as it happens, so you can step back to any earlier state. Nothing the agent does is one-way.

Which other AI clients can connect?

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 can connect using the same server URL.
