Screen Studio

A screen recorder that edits itself. It zooms in on your clicks and typing, plays dead time fast, finds and blurs e-mail addresses, keys and card numbers, and writes the take out as a step-by-step guide. Up to 4K at 60 fps, no watermark.

Screen Studio

Record it. It comes back cut.

A Director watches your take while you record. When you stop, the edit is already made: it has zoomed in on what you clicked and typed, hurried through the waiting, and framed the result. Every decision is a block on a timeline that you can move or remove.

Free. No sign-in. No watermark. Works best in Chrome or Edge on a computer.

What the Director does

Camera

It zooms when you act, not when you move

Click a button or type in a field and the camera moves in just before it happens. It pulls back when the page changes, and it never chases the mouse around.

Pace

Dead time plays fast

Stretches where nothing moves and nobody speaks are played at 4× or 8×, so a five-minute take is not a five-minute video.

Privacy

Hide text by ticking it

It reads the text in your take and lists it. Tick what should not be seen. E-mail addresses, keys and tokens, card numbers and phone numbers come first and are ticked for you. Or draw a box over anything yourself.

Privacy

A blur stays on what it hides

Scroll the page and the blur goes with the text. If the same thing shows up again further down, it is hidden there too, and the blur ends when it leaves the screen.

Guide

The same take, written out

Every click and every piece of typing becomes a numbered step with a picture and a line such as “Click New project”. Reword the lines, then save it as one page.

Frame

It arrives framed

The recording sits on a backdrop with rounded corners and a shadow. Pick a backdrop, a colour of your own, or none. Pointer highlight and click pulses are there if you want them.

How it goes

  1. 01

    Record

Choose a screen, a window or a tab. Add your microphone and the computer's sound if you want them.

  2. 02

    Stop

The cut is ready when you stop. Zooms, skips and trims are laid out on a timeline, one block per decision.

  3. 03

    Adjust

Move, stretch or remove any block. Add a zoom of your own. Hide private text by ticking it in a list.

  4. 04

    Export

Choose 720p to 4K, 24, 30 or 60 frames a second, and the shape. Save a written guide of the same take if you need one.

Good to know

  • The recording is made, cut and exported in your browser. It is not uploaded unless you choose “Open in editor”, which adds the finished video to a new Arsaze project.
  • A browser cannot see your mouse or keyboard outside its own tab, so the Director works from the picture itself. It reads clicks and typing from how the screen answers them, which is an estimate: now and then it will miss one or add one, and you can add or remove a zoom yourself.
  • Finding private details is a helper, not a guarantee. It knows e-mail addresses, keys and tokens, card numbers and phone numbers, and it can misread or miss one. Play the take through before you share it.
  • Reading text uses an open-source reader that runs in your browser. Its engine and English model are downloaded from a public CDN the first time; the recording itself is not sent anywhere.
  • Live captions are optional and use your browser’s own speech recognition. When they are on, the browser sends the microphone audio to its maker’s speech service.
