About
This free online GIF to video converter turns an animated GIF into an MP4 video file. Pick how many times the animation repeats, click Convert to MP4, and download the result. Your GIF is processed in your browser and is not uploaded, and there is no sign-up step.
Loops sets the repeat count to 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x. Each setting plays the whole GIF that many times, so 2x makes a video twice as long as one play of the animation. The video is written at 30 frames per second, and its width and height follow the GIF, rounded to even numbers where needed.
The Compression Summary panel shows the size of the original GIF and the MP4 side by side after the conversion, so you can see which file is smaller for your animation. The video is saved as MP4 and named after your GIF. A GIF has no sound, so the MP4 has no sound either.

Questions
Is the GIF to MP4 converter free?
Yes. The tool is free to use, and there is no sign-up step on the page.
How long will the video be?
The video is the length of one play of the GIF multiplied by the Loops setting. For example, a 2-second GIF at 5x becomes a 10-second video.
Can I save the video as WebM?
No. This page saves the converted video as MP4 only.
Will the MP4 have sound?
No. A GIF does not have a sound track, so the MP4 is silent.
Why is the MP4 a different size from the GIF?
A GIF and an MP4 store the picture in different ways, so the sizes differ. The Compression Summary panel shows both sizes once the conversion is done.
Are my GIFs uploaded?
No. The GIF is converted in your browser and is not sent to a server.
