About

This is a free online image to SVG converter. It turns a logo, icon or simple drawing into an SVG file, a flat, single-color shape you can place in a design tool or on a website. The conversion happens in your browser, and the image is not uploaded.

The page marks each pixel as part of the shape when it is darker than the Luminance Cutoff. The slider runs from 30 to 225 and starts at 128. Move it to keep more or less of the image. Tick Invert Silhouette to swap the shape and the background. Colors and shading are not kept, so the result is one color.

Choose a Style: Black Vector, White Vector or Tint Color, which fills the shape in one fixed blue. The longest side of the result is capped at 800 pixels, so a larger image is made smaller first. The SVG is built from the pixels of the image, so edges can look stepped when the file is scaled up a lot.

How to use the Image to SVG Vectorizer

  1. 1

    Choose an image

Drop a PNG, JPG, WebP or BMP onto the page, or click to pick one. A simple logo, icon or drawing with clear contrast gives the cleanest result.

  2. 2

    Set the cutoff

Under Contrast Threshold, drag the Luminance Cutoff slider. Tick Invert Silhouette if the background should become the shape.

  3. 3

    Choose a style

Under Style, pick Black Vector, White Vector or Tint Color. Set the options before you convert. To change them afterward, choose the image again.

  4. 4

    Convert and save

Click Convert to SVG. When it is ready, click Download .SVG to save the file, or Copy SVG Code to copy the markup.

Questions

Is the Image to SVG Vectorizer free?

Yes. The tool is free to use, and the conversion runs in your browser.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The image is processed on your device and is not uploaded.

Does the SVG keep the colors of the image?

No. The result is a single color shape, in Black Vector, White Vector or Tint Color. Each part of the image is either in the shape or left out, so shading and multiple colors are not kept.

Why do the edges look blocky when I enlarge the SVG?

The shape is built from the pixels of the image, not from smooth curves, so very large sizes can show stepped edges. A simple image with clear contrast gives the cleanest result.

Is there a size limit?

The longest side of the SVG is capped at 800 pixels. A larger image is made smaller before the shape is built.

What image formats can I convert to SVG?

PNG, JPG, WebP and BMP files can be converted. The SVG keeps the proportions of the original image.
