About
Smooth out a shaky handheld video with a free online video stabilizer. Choose a clip, pick a strength from Subtle to Aggressive, and download the steadier result. The file is processed on your device in your browser and is not uploaded.
The tool follows the movement of the camera from one frame to the next. It reduces quick jitters and keeps slower, intentional movement, such as a gentle pan. To hide the edges that move during this, the picture is zoomed in a little: Subtle zooms 5%, Medium 10% and Aggressive 16%.
Because of that zoom, the outer edges of each frame are cropped. Use Subtle when the framing matters most, and Aggressive for footage that is very unsteady. The sound is copied into the new file unchanged.
How to use the Video Stabilizer
- 1
Choose a video
Drop an MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV file onto the page, or click to pick one. Choose a clip with the shake you want to remove.
- 2
Pick a stabilization strength
Under Stabilization Strength, choose Subtle (5% Zoom), Medium (10% Zoom) or Aggressive (16% Zoom). Medium is selected by default.
- 3
Stabilize the video
Click Stabilize Video and wait for the progress bar to finish. The page reads the whole clip, so a longer video takes longer.
- 4
Download the result
Click Download Stabilized Video to save the file. Its name ends with -stabilized.

Questions
Is the Video Stabilizer free?
Yes. The tool is free to use, and the stabilizing runs in your browser.
Does it add a watermark?
No. The tool does not add a watermark or logo to the video.
Are my videos uploaded?
No. The video is processed on your device and is not sent to a server.
Why do the edges look cropped?
The stabilizer zooms in slightly, so the picture can move without showing empty edges. A stronger setting zooms in more, so Subtle crops the least.
Which strength should I choose?
Start with Medium. Choose Subtle if the shake is light or you want to keep as much of the frame as possible, and Aggressive for footage that is very unsteady.
Will it fix blur or a video that is out of focus?
No. The tool smooths camera shake only, so motion blur and out-of-focus footage stay as they are.
