About
Add text to a video with a free online video text overlay tool. Type your words, pick a position, font, size and color, and burn the text into the picture. The file is processed on your device in your browser and is not uploaded.
Each line you type is placed on its own line, so a title and a subtitle can be added in one pass. Put the text at the top, in the center or at the bottom, or in the top-left or bottom-right corner. Turn on Box Fill for a solid background behind the words, and Outline Shadow to keep the text readable on bright footage.
The same text is added to every frame, so it stays on screen for the whole length of the video. The tool cannot make text appear and disappear at different times. To show a line for only part of a clip, trim the clip to that part first and then add the text.

No. The tool adds only the text you type, and it does not add a watermark or logo.
Are my videos uploaded?
No. The video is processed on your device and is not sent to a server.
Can I make the text appear only at a certain time?
Not in this tool. The text is added to every frame, so it stays on screen for the whole video. Trim the clip to the part you need before you add the text.
