About
Take the sound from a video and save it as an MP3, M4A or WAV file. This page opens the audio extractor ready for any video you have, whatever app or camera it came from. Keep the sound of a lecture, a webinar, a meeting recording or a clip you filmed, without the picture, and listen to it on any device.
The tool accepts MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV video files, and it also accepts audio files. Choose the output format under Format: Original keeps the track as it is stored when it can be copied, MP3 plays on almost everything, M4A (AAC) is smaller at the same quality, and WAV is uncompressed in 16-bit or 24-bit for further editing. MP3 and M4A also let you choose a bitrate in kbps.
The video is read on your device and is not uploaded. You can trim the sound on the waveform first, so the saved file holds only the part you need. Long videos are supported, and the page sets no length limit. If a file has no audio track, the page says so instead of saving an empty file.
