When Arsaze launched, a full edit by the AI, from your brief to a finished cut, took about 23 minutes. Today the same kind of edit finishes in about 10 minutes. Heavier projects, with more footage or more steps, take around 13.
That is more than twice as fast, and it changes how editing with an AI feels.
Why speed matters more than it sounds
Twenty-three minutes is long enough to leave and do something else. You come back, look at the cut, ask for a change, and leave again. Ten minutes is short enough to stay. You watch the edit come together on the timeline, spot the moment you want changed, and ask for it while the video is still fresh in your head.
Faster edits also mean more tries. If the first cut is not the story you wanted, asking for a second one is no longer a big decision.
What got faster
We did not make the AI skip steps. It still reads your project, looks at the moments it needs, plans the cut, makes the edits and checks its own work against your brief. We removed the waiting between those steps and made each one quicker, so the same careful edit takes less of your time.
What you will notice
- First cuts of talking-head videos and interviews arrive much sooner.
- Changes after review come back faster, so a round of feedback is a short wait, not a coffee break.
- Long podcast episodes still take longer than a one-minute Reel, but less than before.
Times vary
These are typical times for a full edit. A short clip with one request can finish in a minute or two. A long recording with captions, music, color and generated b-roll takes longer, and generation time depends on what you ask for. Rendering the final video is separate, and in the desktop app it runs on your own computer.
Faster still: do it yourself with Tab
Not every edit needs a brief. For the quick ones, Tab suggests your next edit the moment you stop, and you take it with one key. There is nothing to wait for.

Questions people ask
How long does an AI video edit take in Arsaze?
A full AI edit, from brief to finished cut, takes about 10 minutes for a typical project and around 13 minutes for heavier ones. At launch it took about 23 minutes. Short clips with a single request can finish in a minute or two.
Does a faster AI edit mean lower quality?
No. The AI in Arsaze still reads the project, looks at the footage it needs, plans, edits and checks its work against your brief. The time saved comes from less waiting between steps.
Does the edit time include rendering?
No. Rendering the final video is separate. In the Arsaze desktop app it runs on your own computer, free and with no watermark.
