Arsaze for After Effects: let your AI build motion in your open project

A panel for Adobe After Effects where your AI builds motion inside your open project while you watch. One undo per change, restore points, and cuts and renders that move both ways between After Effects and Arsaze. Windows beta, October 2026.

Most AI tools make you leave After Effects to use them. You describe a thing, get a file back, and import it. The Arsaze panel works the other way round: your AI works inside the project you already have open.

What it does

Install the panel, sign in, and your AI can add layers, keyframes, effects, captions and camera moves directly in your open composition. You watch each step happen, with a live list of what is being done in plain language. It covers animation, effects, camera moves, kinetic type, motion graphics and tracked motion.

It moves work between Arsaze and After Effects

  • Send a cut from Arsaze to After Effects as a composition, with its media, captions and markers.
  • Render the composition in After Effects and bring it back into Arsaze as a clip and a saved version you can review.

That second step matters if you work with clients. The render lands back on an Arsaze timeline, where Remarker lets them comment on the exact frame, and your AI can read the notes.

You stay in control

An AI that edits your project needs a way to be stopped, so we built the panel around that.

  • Every AI action is a single Ctrl+Z.
  • Before it changes a saved project, a restore point is saved.
  • You can pause or stop between steps.
  • Anything beyond a normal edit, such as reaching files on your computer, waits for your approval in the panel before it runs.

What to expect from a beta

This is version 1.0.0 Beta, released in October 2026, and we would rather be plain about it.

  • It is Windows 10 and 11 only. macOS is not part of this beta.
  • It needs After Effects 2021 (version 18) or newer and an Arsaze account.
  • When a cut moves to After Effects, generated scenes, color and shape clips, keyframed transforms, grades, effects, masks, transitions and speed ramps are not carried over yet. Arsaze lists what was skipped so nothing disappears quietly.
  • A restore point needs a saved project. For an unsaved one, the panel asks before it continues.
  • It is new, and we want more real projects running through it. Tell us what breaks at support@arsaze.com. The panel has a Support information screen that copies a short log for us.

Install

Download the single .zxp file from the After Effects download page, install it with a ZXP installer such as the free one from aescripts and aeplugins, start After Effects, and choose Window, Extensions, Arsaze. Sign in with the short code. The page also has the file fingerprint so you can check the download is genuine.

Where it fits

If you cut in Arsaze and finish motion in After Effects, the panel removes the export, import and re-link steps between them. If you animate in Animate Studio, you now have the same AI-assisted motion in both places. The overview is on the AI plugin for After Effects page.
