A short round-up of the smaller changes from the last few weeks, what each one is for, and one thing we took away. None of these needs a new plan: they are in the editor and on the tools page for everyone, including the free plan.
Three themes: Dark, Light and Arsaze Dark
The editor now comes in three themes. Dark is the calm neutral look most editors use. Light is for bright rooms and long transcript sessions. Arsaze Dark is our own palette, deeper and closer to black, made for late nights on the timeline. Pick one from the Theme rows in the account menu at the top of the editor, or choose System to follow your computer.
Every screen works in all three: the timeline, the Rewrite view, color, captions and the review page.
More than 25 free tools in the browser
The free tools page has grown past 25. They run in your browser with no sign-in and no watermark, and each one does one job well:
- Video: trimmer, merger, resizer for 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 and 16:9, compressor, speed changer, rotator, video to GIF and background remover.
- Audio: noise remover, silence remover, extractor, trimmer, converter, pitch shifter and voice recorder.
- Images: compressor, resizer, converter, crop, splitter, combiner, blur and upscaler.
- For creators: Screen Studio, teleprompter, safe zone checker for Reels and Shorts, watermark maker and QR code generator.
When a job outgrows a single tool, the same work is waiting in the full editor.
Goodbye, Playground
Playground was our node-based space for chaining generation steps into a video. People who used it made interesting things, but most people told us the same thing: they wanted the result on their timeline, not a graph to wire up. So we retired Playground and put that effort into the editor, the AI assistant and Tab.
Also new
- The whole app was redesigned around your feedback.
- The editor works on your phone.
- AI edits finish about twice as fast as they did at launch.
- The AI employee is in beta.
Try it
Open the editor and pick a theme, or try one of the free tools without signing in.
Questions people ask
Does Arsaze have a dark mode?
Yes. Arsaze has two dark themes and a light one: Dark, Arsaze Dark, a deeper near-black palette of its own, and Light. You switch from the account menu at the top of the editor, or let it follow your system.
What free tools does Arsaze have?
More than 25 browser tools with no sign-in and no watermark, including a video trimmer, merger, 9:16 resizer, compressor, video to GIF, background remover, audio noise remover, silence remover, image tools, a teleprompter and the Screen Studio screen recorder.
What happened to Arsaze Playground?
Arsaze retired Playground, its node-based generation space, because most people wanted results on their timeline rather than a graph. That effort went into the editor, the AI assistant and Tab.
