Here is what shipped in Arsaze over the last stretch, what each change is for, and where it stops.
Edit the transcript like a document
The Rewrite view now looks and works like a word processor. Your transcript is laid out as pages, with each speaker as a heading. Deleting words still cuts them from the video, and you can now type to correct the text of the transcript.
- Suggested cuts show up as tracked changes. Step through them and accept or reject each one, or all of them at once.
- Notes from reviewers sit in the margin, level with the words they are about, and can be resolved there.
- Right-click a flagged filler word to cut it, ignore it, or ignore every one like it.
- Find and Replace, a navigation pane that lists each speaker turn, zoom, and page or time jumps.
- Download the transcript as a Word document, with speakers as headings, or as plain text.
Multicam: line up your angles and cut to the speaker
If you film a podcast or an interview on more than one camera, ask your assistant to sync the angles. It lines them up by what is said and then matches them closely by the sound. It can then cut between the angles to whoever is speaking, with a wide shot for interruptions, over one unbroken audio track. Ask to see the plan first if you want to check it before the cut is made.
Multicam works through your AI assistant today. There is no multicam button in the editor yet.
Lock a clip
Lock a clip you are happy with, and no edit can change it: not a ripple from somewhere else on the timeline, not a group move, and not an AI assistant. Unlock it when you want to change it again.
Branches: try a change without touching the main edit
A branch is a private copy of the timeline. You or an agent can start one, try a different cut, and merge it back when it works. Several agents can work on one video at the same time, each on its own branch, while a shared logbook keeps the brief, the plans and the decisions in one place. An agent can only merge a branch after a person has approved it. The branch switcher and the review panel are in the editor.
The AI can look at your footage
Assistants can now look at exactly the moments they need in a clip, instead of relying on the transcript alone. That is how they answer questions like who is in frame or where a product appears. In a local project your files stay on your computer while the AI looks, and nothing is kept. More in AI now edits your local projects.
Light mode in the editor
The editor now has a light mode as well as the dark one. Switch with the sun and moon button.
Screen Studio, the free screen recorder
Screen Studio now records your webcam as a bubble that moves to the other corner when the view zooms in under it. The review has one-click styles, a window or browser frame around the recording, a ring on each click with a label naming what was clicked, a pointer that fades while it rests, and a GIF of the busiest few seconds. Recording has a countdown, pause and resume, and takes that survive a crash. It is still free, with no sign-in and no watermark.
Your AI can record a demo, when you allow it
With the desktop app, version 1.4.0 or newer, an assistant can record a screen demo for you: a walkthrough of a web page, or of an app on your computer. Nothing runs until you allow it in the Arsaze window. You choose what it may use and until when, and you can stop it at any time. The recording arrives as a new project, ready to edit.
Try it
Update the desktop app, open a project and switch to the Rewrite view, or connect your assistant and ask it to sync your camera angles. If you are new to editing with an AI, start with what agentic video editing is.
